Why the same length looks different on everyone
Necklace length charts are drawn on one model, at one neck size — so an 18" chain that sits at the collarbone in the photo can land differently on you. The number that actually matters is the drop: how far the chain hangs below the base of your neck, which is roughly your chain length minus your neck circumference, divided by two. A smaller neck pushes every length lower on the body; a larger neck pulls it higher.

What's the difference between 16" and 18"?
On an average neck, that two-inch difference is roughly one inch of drop — 16" sits as a snug choker at the base of the throat, while 18" rests just below it, at the collarbone. On a smaller or larger neck, both can shift by half an inch or more.
Does a pendant change where a necklace sits?
A little. A pendant or charm adds its own length below the chain, so a 18" chain with a large pendant can sit closer to where a 20" plain chain would. Use the visualizer to find your chain length, then account for a larger pendant by sizing up half an inch.
Can I adjust the length after I order?
Every FARUZO chain ships with a 2" extender already attached, so you have some room to wear it shorter or looser without needing a different chain. If you are between two sizes, it is usually safer to size down and use the extender than to size up.
